Normal Heights Elementary School has a variety of programs that promote good citizenship, good health, better education, and fun.
Character Counts
Our Schooll Counselor, Mrs. Florence Alabanza-de la Cruz, implements our school-wide character education curriculum. It includes a daily use of common language of good character choices, monthly guidance lessons on a specific character traits and assemblies to to acknowledge those students who are good examples of the Six Pillars of Character. Please check out the Counselor's Corner, on our school webpage for more information.
Recycle Program
The fourth and fifth grade students at Normal Heights are in charge of collecting recyclable paper products from each classroom. This promotes community involvement and teamwork. The students learn that taking care of our earth by creating less waste is important.
