Volunteer Applications & Screening

Normal Heights Elementary School warmly embraces and encourages engagement from parents, community members, local businesses, community organizations, higher education institutions, and the military.

To ensure a secure environment for our students and offer diverse volunteering opportunities, specific procedures must be followed before volunteering is initiated.

Official Hardy B or C Volunteers (descriptions listed below) will be screened annually and are required to complete the following:

  1. Annually: submit a volunteer application
  2. Annually: sign a code of conduct form
  3. Every 4 years: All Volunteers must have a current TB test on file or you can take a look at the Adult Tuberculosis (TB) Risk Assessment Questionnaire. This form must be administered by a licensed healthcare provider (physician, physician assistant, school nurse, nurse practitioner). If cleared by one of the above providers, you can use this form in lieu of the TB test.
  4. First Year: Please note that for any new volunteers, you must attend a volunteer orientation given by the principal. You can check the school calendar for any scheduled orientations or reach out to the main office to inquire.
