English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)

The ELAC is established for schools with 21 or more English as a Second Language (ESL) students. This committee advises the principal and staff on programs and services for English Learners, focusing on:

  • The school plan for English Learners
  • Needs assessments
  • Language census administration
  • Promoting the importance of attendance

ELAC officers are elected every two years, and the committee meets monthly.
